Bhagavad Gita 17.3
सत्त्वानुरूपा सर्वस्य श्रद्धा भवति भारत। श्रद्धामयोऽयं पुरुषो यो यच्छ्रद्धः स एव सः॥
The faith of every individual corresponds to their inner mental constitution, O descendant of Bharata. A person is made of their faith; whatever their faith is, that indeed they are.
A profound insight on identity: a person's core values, direction, and character are defined by what they hold deep faith in.
