Bhagavad Gita 7.23
अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम्। देवान्देवयजो यान्ति मद्भक्ता यान्ति मामपि॥
Temporary is the fruit obtained by those of limited understanding. Worshippers of deities go to the deities, but My devotees come to Me.
Distinguishes between temporary rewards obtained from finite forms and eternal liberation gained through worshipping the Supreme.
